The engine is missing, not verified, or DRM setup failed
Messages that mean the Browz engine cannot start, and the Widevine (DRM) refusal.
Before the first launch Browz verifies that the engine is a genuine Browz engine of the expected version. If it is missing or does not verify, Start is refused rather than run an unknown browser.
- cannot start the configured browser: no Browz engine is installed. Reinstall Browz with its engine.
- is not a Browz engine, it ignored --browz-platform. The configured engine is stock Chrome or another browser. Reinstall Browz, or remove a custom engine override.
- REFUSING Start: selected core version does not match, or a managed browser core is missing or corrupt. Open Settings, Browser cores to check the installed cores, or reinstall Browz.
Widevine is the DRM component some streaming sites need. If its setup does not finish, Start is refused with: Widevine setup did not finish successfully, followed by the reason, for example a component download that failed or timed out. Try again with a working internet connection.
DRM playback is not a supported feature yet. Installed Chrome uses Google Chrome's own media components.
